Baldwin City Radio will Cease Broadcasting May 31st

In a brief announcement in the Facebook group Citizens for the Future of Baldwin City, Jay Wachs, owner of Baldwin City radio announced that Baldwin City Radio, the online radio station that broadcast classic hits from the 60's, 70's, 80's will cease operation on May 31, 2018.  The station which started one year ago plays a variety of music that included classic rock, classic country, classic pop and classic soul with a rotation that included over 3,000 songs.
When asked by the Gazette, Wachs cited lack of community support among reasons why he is shutting down the radio station.
In his post, Wachs encouraged people to turn their computer to his original online radio,, which offers pop hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's.
